Rods and Sheets
Acetal (Omniacetal)
- Good sliding properties, high surface strength and rigidity, low moisture absorption, great dimensional stability
- Resistant to alkali and organic compounds
- It is very easy to machine and offers an excellent surface finish
- Black, Blue and Natural acetal rods and sheets are all Food Safe
- Uses include bearings, guides, gear wheels, fittings, valve and pump components
Cast Nylon (Omniamid)
- Very good wear resistance, even in demanding environments
- It is slightly tougher and harder than the extruded nylon 6
- Like all nylons it is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture) so it has poor dimensional stability
Omniamid HR (Cast Nylon Black)
- The addition of graphite and special lubricant results in properties better than those of the above natural PA6G
- Lower friction coefficient and higher shock resistance
- Applications include large gears, pulleys, sheaves, wheels, rollers, sliding blocks, guides. Resistant to alkali, solvents and inorganic compounds
Nylon Oil-filled (Omniamid OIL)
- Contains 6% special lubricating oil
- The unique method of production results in micro distribution of the oil particles which is homogenous
- Low friction coefficient
- Higher shock resistance and better wear properties
Nylon 6 (Akulon 6®)
- Extruded nylon offers a combination of mechanical strength, stiffness, toughness and wear resistance
- Omnia Plastica use a high viscosity polymer which results in a product of outstanding quality
- Natural nylon 6 is Food Safe
Nylon Glass-Filled (Akulon 6GF30®)
- Glass-filled nylon has better dimensional stability than standard Nylon 6
- Excellent mechanical properties
- High compression strength
- Black colour
Nylon 66 (Akulon 66®)
- Nylon 66 is more rigid/harder than Nylon 6
- Much easier to machine than Nylon 6 on Swiss & Cam automatics
PET (Arnite®)
- Low friction coefficient. High mechanical strength, stiffness and hardness with good creep resistance
- Excellent wear resistance (equal to nylon 6)
- Better resistance to acids than nylon and acetal
- Excellent bearing & bushing material
- Like acetal it is very easy to machine
- Arnite® is Food Safe
Omnialite XLF
Omnialite XLF is our premium bushing / bearing grade material
- Long life, hard wearing
- Dimensionally stable, even in water
- Self-lubricating (contains PTFE)
- High pressure-velocity rating
- Food contact compliant
HDPE / PE300: High Density Polyethylene
- Good chemical resistance to acids, detergents and hot water
- Very good impact strength and excellent wear resistance, even at low temperatures
- Low friction coefficient
- Food Safe
HMWPE / PE500
- Good mechanical and sliding properties
- Good chemical resistance
- Dimensionally stable
- Good noise damping properties
- Contact with food – FDA and EC compliant
- Confetti is not compliant
UHMWPE / PE1000
- Molecular weight 5.0 million (average)
- Very good wear resistance, Sand-slurry test 100
- Very good sliding properties
- Excellent impact strength, even at low temperatures
- Excellent dimensional stability
- Physiologically harmless.
- Contact with food – FDA and EC compliant
UHMWPE / PE1000R (Regen)
- Molecular weight 3.0 to 5.0 million
- Colours: Green and Black
- Good wear resistance, Sand-slurry test 130
- Good sliding properties
- Good chemical resistance
- Excellent dimensional stability
- Contact with food – Not compliant
UHMWPE / PE8000 Premium Grade
- Molecular weight 9.0 million (average)
- Very good impact strength
- Extremely good sliding properties
- Very high wear resistance, Sand-slurry test 80

UHMWPE / PE8000 + Glass Beads
- Molecular weight 11.5 million (average)
- Excellent abrasion resistance
- Excellent wear resistance, Sand-slurry test 70
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Very good sliding properties
- Virtually no water absorption (dimensionally stable)
Polycarbonate
- Our Solid Polycarbonate Sheets have excellent impact strength
- 30 times stronger than Acrylic, 250 times stronger than glass
- Perfect material for machine guards, conveyor covers and screens
- Polycarbonate Rods also available (translucent)
Polypropylene
- High mechanical and tensile strength but low notched impact strength
- Brittle at low temperature. Withstands attack by alkali and acids
- Food Safe
- Used in pumps, valves, tank fabrication, flanges, bushes
Phenolic Paper P1 (PFCP201, NEMA X)
- Finest quality laminated cellulose paper and phenolic resin.
- Colour Dark Brown. Sheet 2030 x 1030 mm or Cut-to-size.
- Good mechanical strength, low-voltage electrical applications.
- Uses include flash barriers, control panels, jigs, fixtures.
- Not suitable for use in humid or moist conditions.
- Maximum continuous temperature +100°C, intermittent +120°C.
PVC
- Flame retardant plastic with excellent chemical resistance, high mechanical strength and low stress cracking
- Poor impact strength
- Used for pump and valve bodies, tank fabrication, galvanic industry
PEEK
- High strength, rigidity and dimensional stability
- Low friction coefficient
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Very good electrical insulation properties
- Food Safe
- Maximum continuous temperature 250°C
- Very expensive
PEI Ultem®
- Best dielectric strength of any thermoplastic
- High mechanical strength
- Excellent dimensional stability
- Outstanding resistance to steam sterilization
- FDA approved for contact with foodstuffs
- WRAS approved for contact with potable water
- UL94 V-0 self-extinguishing
- Low smoke emission
PTFE (Teflon®)
- Best chemical resistance, lowest friction coefficient and high temperature range (-200⁰C + 260⁰C)
- Good dielectric strength
- Excellent weather resistance and insensitive to UV rays
- Poor mechanical properties. Food Safe (non-toxic)
- Used for O-rings, valve seats, stem seals, gaskets, insulators, guides, bellows
ETCHED PTFE
- Sodium Ammonia etching of PTFE offers excellent bond strength.
- Etching is on one side of the PTFE sheets.
- Etched sheets measure 1200 x 1200 x 1, 2, 3 and 6 mm thick.
PVDF
- Better tensile strength, mechanical strength and dimensional stability than PTFE
- Excellent chemical resistance and good temperature range (-30⁰C +150⁰C)
- Food safe (FDA compliant) and has a UL94 flammability rating of V.0
- Used for flanges as well as pump and valve components
Phenolic Cotton F3 (PFCC201, NEMA C)
- Finest quality laminated cotton fabric and phenolic resin.
- Colour Brown. Sheet 2030 x 1030 mm or Cut-to-size.
- Tough, with excellent impact strength and wear resistance.
- Uses include gears, pulleys, rollers, bearings.
- Maximum continuous temperature +100°C, intermittent +120°C
